CFD’s unique truck honors those affected by cancer

The Cancer Support Unit or Pink Fire Truck was created by the Chesapeake Fire Department to provide hope, encouragement, and love to anyone who has been affected by cancer. All Cancers All People is displayed on the side of this reserve engine 106. The truck is fully functional and can be called into service at any time and will travel to events that support cancer awareness and firefighters. No city funds were used to create the truck. Graphics, supplies, and labor were donated by local businesses and are listed on the back of the truck. This is the first truck of its kind in Virginia.
